Green Pasco is all about Thinking globally and act locally,
seeing Pasco County sustain its environment and resouces to allow for a higher quality of life. Concerns of our air, land and water resources are of utmost concern,as well as seeing that we strive towards the use of recoverable resources, including food and other resources.

The idea that growth implies favored treatment of special interests at the cost of our people of Pasco County is unacceptable. We would hope that individuals, government officials and agencies, as well as private business consider the adverse long term effects on poor planning and inappropriate use of our resources.

"Green Pasco County - Think globally, act locally" urges Pasco residents to consider the health of the entire planet and to take action in our community. Sometimes the government does not enforce environmental laws. NGOs (Non-Government Organizations) and individuals are coming together to protect habitats and the organisms that live within them. Many of the action  occur on a local level and are primarily run by non-profit organizations, volunteers and helpers.

It is corporations, government officials, education system, and local communities that need to take concern of local environmental issues.  It is now extremely important to consider global markets and communities when doing business. Global markets and large corporations have one of the largest impacts on the environment, it is their influence and actions that are vital to the survival of our planet. We encourage people to consider the impact of the things you eat, buy and use. Supporting local farmers and manufacturers of a variety of products helps foster the local economy.  Large corporations can have a good and bad impact on the environment.  "Thinking globally and acting locally" can make a major difference in the survival of our planet.
