Medical Marijuana in Pasco County

The first organization authorized to dispense medical marijuana in Florida has made its first home delivery, but Pasco Commisioners want to extend a moratorium on the sale, growth and distribution of cannabis. Patients suffering from cancer, epilepsy, chronic seizures and chronic muscle spasms can order medical marijuana by contacting their physician

Rocky Point

Pasco County may buy Rocky Creek land along the coast allowed the Pasco County Commission to add the 65 acres to a project list in 2009. Now, commissioners may buy the land with proceeds from the original Penny for Pasco sales tax to turn it into a public park preserve.

Waste-to- Energy Facility

 

What is “waste to energy?”
Waste-to-energy facilities produce clean, renewable energy through the combustion of
municipal solid waste. This process occurs in specifically designed power plants
equipped with the most modern pollution control equipment to clean emissions.

Recycle

What Happens to our Recyclables?  

The blue bags are brought to the Pasco County Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for processing. The materials are sorted, baled and sold to markets to be made into new products. Recycling conserves trees, water and other natural resources by reducing what people throw away and it returns valuable material to the industry for reuse.
